Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

General Auto Body and Collision FAQs

What should I do immediately after a car accident?
Make sure everyone is safe, call emergency services if needed, and document the scene with photos. Notify your insurance company and contact us so we can guide you on towing, inspections, and starting your repair process.
Will you work with my insurance company?
Yes. We work with nearly all major insurance companies and handle communication, estimates, and approvals on your behalf to simplify the process.
How long do repairs take?
It depends on the extent of the damage, parts availability, and insurance approvals. Small repairs can be done in a few days, while major repairs may take a week or more. We’ll give you a detailed timeline after inspection and keep you updated
Are you a DRP (Direct Repair Program) shop, or an independent repair facility?
Liberty Collision is an independent, OEM-focused repair facility. We are not part of any insurance company’s DRP network, which means we work for you—not the insurer.
Why choose an independent shop over a DRP?
Choosing an independent shop like Liberty Collision means your repairs are guided by your best interests. We follow manufacturer repair procedures, use proper parts, and prioritize safety and quality over shortcuts. You get more transparency, more control, and a repair done the right way.
What happens if additional damage is found after you begin the repair?
It’s common for hidden damage to be discovered once we start disassembly. We’ll notify you and your insurance company right away, update the estimate, and get authorization before proceeding.
Will my car be safe to drive after the repairs?
Absolutely. We follow manufacturer repair standards, use high-quality parts, and perform inspections—including diagnostic scans when needed—to ensure your vehicle is restored to its pre-accident safety and performance.
Do I have to get multiple estimates before choosing a repair shop?
No. In Nevada, you’re not required to get multiple estimates. You can choose any licensed repair shop, and your insurance company must work with that shop.
Do you use OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts?
Whenever possible, yes. OEM parts help maintain your car’s safety, value, and performance. If your insurance policy restricts OEM parts, we’ll explain your options and help advocate for quality components.
Can you help arrange towing?
Yes. If your vehicle isn’t drivable, we can coordinate towing to our Sparks facility so we can begin repairs promptly.
Will I get a rental car while my car is being repaired?
If your insurance policy includes rental coverage, we’ll help arrange a rental car so you can stay mobile during repairs.
How do I schedule an estimate?
You can request an estimate online through our contact page or call (775) 329-3368. We also offer digital photo estimates for added convenience.
